This my new blog about my adventures in record collecting.

I have a large (3500-4000) LP colletion.  (For the sake of full disclosure, I also have between 800 and 1000 CDs and uncountable music downloads.)

I have been posting pictures of the LPs I have been listening to on my Facebook page:

Several of my friends have suggested that I start a blog (and a couple have even suggested starting an internet radio station).  So here I go.

I have a very nice turntable from the mid 1980s but my tonearm died.  I would have loved to get it repaired (it's way beyond my techical expertise), but just couldn't find anybody who repairs turntables.

For my birthday, last March, I purchased a new turntable, the Pro-Ject RM-5-SE.  While not the beautiful walnut deck I had before, I am extremely pleased with the quality and detail of this turntable, tonearm, and cartridge combo.  (I purchased it at Music Lover's Audio in  Berkeley, CA.)

This is just an intro to my new blog.  I hope to fill it with articles about record collecting and the music and recordings that I love.
